If your company works on a rotating schedule e.g. four days on/four days off, you might want to create a shift pattern.

To do so, navigate to the shift patterns page and press add pattern on the top right corner and enter the name for your pattern.

This will open up a blank pattern where you can edit what you need.

Here, you can amend the pattern name, which locations the pattern will be available in and set the amount of days. The pattern will automatically be 7 days long. If you need to amend this select 'set days' and enter the amount e.g. a 4 on 4 off pattern you would need to enter 8 days.

You can then start to add shifts onto any days you need. You can enter ad-hoc shifts or use your custom shifts in the same way as the scheduler to build out your pattern.

The above pattern is a 4 day on, 4 day off. You can run your pattern on the Scheduler for as long as you need and your shifts will keep repeating on the pattern you have created.

To help you visualise what your pattern will look like on the scheduler, you can press the preview button on the top right corner.

The pattern will be saved as you go along in real time.

You can also archive any unused patterns, or copy a template to use the current template as a base for a new one.

Once you are happy with your pattern, apply it to the scheduler.
