12/24 hour Formatting on Rotageek

AM/PM or 24 hour format for displaying time on Rotageek

Rotageek have the ability to show either a 12hr format or a 24hr format to show shifts. These will depend on an individual user's browser or device language settings.

If you have English (US) as your main language on your browser and/or device you will have a 12hr format (AM/PM), if you have English (UK) as your main language on your browser and/or device you will have a 24hr format. If you wish to change these settings to one or the other please follow the below instructions.


Changing browser language settings

Note: If you are using a an Apple device that use MacOS please scroll down this article to changing device language settings

Google Chrome

  1. On your Windows computer, open Chrome.

  2. At the top right, click More (3 dots on the right side of your screen) > Settings.

  3. On the left, click Languages.

  4. If you wish to display AM/PM click 'Add Language' > Choose English (United States)

    1. If you wish to display a 24hr clock choose English (United Kingdom)

  5. Click the 3 dots > Click 'Display Chrome in this Language'

  6. Relaunch Chrome

Microsoft Edge

  1. On your computer, open Microsoft Edge

  2. Click the 3 dots on the top right of your screen > Go to Settings and more > Settings

  3. Select Languages from the Settings list > Add Languages

  4. If you wish to display AM/PM click 'Add Language' > Choose English (United States)

    1. If you wish to display a 24hr clock choose English (United Kingdom)

  5. Once the language is added, select the 3 dots > Click 'Display Microsoft Edge in this Language'

  6. Relaunch Microsoft Edge

Firefox

  1. Click the menu button (3 lines) > Click 'Settings'

  2. Go to the Language section and choose your preferred language by clicking 'Choose...'

  3. If you wish to display AM/PM click 'Select language to Add' > Choose English (United States)

    1. If you wish to display a 24hr clock choose English (United Kingdom)

  4. Relaunch Firefox


Changing device language settings

MacOS

  1. On your Mac, choose Apple menu > System Settings

  2. click General in the sidebar, then click Language & Region on the right.

  3. Under the Preferred Languages list at the top click 'Add a Language'

    1. Select English (US) if you want to display the 12 hour clock

    2. Select English (UK) if you want to display the 24 hour clock

  4. Change the 'Primary Language' by dragging your preferred language to the top of the list

  5. Restart your Mac

iOS

  1. On your device, open the 'Settings' app

  2. Tap General

  3. Select Language & Region

  4. Tap Add Language > Select English (US) if you want to show the 12 hour clock

    1. Select English (UK) if you want to show the 24 hour clock

  5. Select your 'Primary language' - you will receive an alert after step 4 to choose your primary language

Android

  1. On your device, open the 'Settings' app

  2. Tap 'System'

  3. Select 'System Languages'

  4. Add a language

    1. Select English (US) if you want to display the 12 hour clock

    2. Select English (UK) if you want to display the 24 hour clock

  5. Drag your preferred language to the top
