Managers Dashboard

How to navigate the manager dashboard on Rotageek.

Written by Kent

If you have the role Supervisor or Admin on the Rotageek system, you will be presented with the manager dashboard when you log in.

Daily Schedule View:

The daily schedule view shows you per location who is scheduled in for the selected day. If you have access to more than one location, you can choose which schedule you want to see via the top dropdown. You can use the arrows to look at historical schedule data and future data.

The schedule will show you the employees scheduled times, clock in and out data if your company uses this feature and the task they are going to be working.

The schedule will default to your primary location. If you have access to multiple locations, click the arrow and select the location you'd like to switch view to.

The dashboard will also default to the current day. This can be changed by selecting the date and choosing the date you want to view from the calendar.

Latest requests and unpublished changes:

Latest requests will show any type of requestable leave and any gap requests employees have asked to work. If you select an entry, it will bring you to the corresponding request to approve or reject.

Unpublished changes allows you to see if there are any draft entries on your scheduler for the location shown. This will prompt the manager to navigate to the Scheduler to approve these entries so employees can see them on the mobile app.

Print Daily Brief

The Print Daily Brief feature lets managers create a printable summary of the selected location and date. Use it to prepare for a shift, share the day’s schedule with staff, or save the brief as a PDF.

To print the daily brief:

  1. Open the Manager Dashboard.

  2. Select the location and date you want to view.

  3. Select Print Daily Brief.

  4. In the filter window, choose which shifts to include. You can filter shifts by whether they start or end before or after a specified time.

  5. Select Print and use your browser’s print options to print the brief or save it as a PDF.

The brief uses the date selected on the Manager Dashboard. It does not automatically change to today’s date.

What the brief includes

The daily brief can include:

  • Employee name, position, shift start and end times, break details, and space for notes.

  • Day notes for the selected date.

  • Sales forecast, budgeted labour hours, scheduled labour hours, and the demand curve.

  • Additional ruled space for notes during the day.

Break start and end times are shown when timed breaks are configured for the location. If a break has a duration but no start and end time, the break details cannot be displayed as a time range.

The brief is formatted for printing and is shown in the print view rather than on the Dashboard itself. It is designed to fit on one A4 page where possible, but may continue onto additional pages when the selected shifts and notes require more space.
