Note: This article is only relevant to organisations that use the Rotageek time clock microsite.

The Rotageek time clock microsite lets you record your working time by tapping your registered access card on the time clock kiosk. You do not need to enter a username or password.

How it works

The microsite is designed for quick clocking during busy shift changes and breaks. Your access card identifies you, then the screen shows the clocking actions available to you.

Clock in or out

  • Tap your registered access card on the kiosk reader.

  • Select the action you want to take, such as starting or ending your shift or break.

  • Follow the on-screen instructions and confirm the action.

  • Wait for the confirmation message. The screen will then return to the idle screen for the next colleague.

All actions require you to select and confirm the option shown on screen. Tapping your card alone does not automatically clock you in or out.

Task clocking

If task clocking is enabled at your organisation, you can use the microsite to start or end a task and change to another task. The available options depend on your current shift and the tasks configured at your site.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a Rotageek username or password?

  • The microsite uses your registered access card to identify you.

What does “card not recognised” mean?

  • It means that the card could not be matched to an active Rotageek profile. No attendance record is created from an unrecognised card. Speak to your manager so they can check that your card has been registered correctly.

Why did the screen return to the start page?

  • The screen resets after you confirm an action. It also resets automatically after a short period of inactivity. Tap your card again if you need to retry.

Can I clock in without my access card?

  • The microsite requires a registered access card. Speak to your manager if you do not have your card or if it has been replaced.

Will clocking change my scheduled shift?

  • Clocking records what happened in your timesheet; it does not change the planned schedule.

What should I do if the kiosk is not working?

  • Tell your manager. They can check the kiosk and record or correct your activity using the standard Rotageek process where necessary.
